Project Details:
Litchfield, Minnesota, is a thriving city attracting visitors from around the region. Litchfield area leaders have long heard interest from community members of all ages in building a wellness or community center, and that vision became reality when a one-half of one percent sales tax proposal was approved by local voters in November 2022. In addition, approximately $6 million of additional funding was secured through the State of Minnesota’s 2021 bonding bill.
Located off Gilman Avenue, the Litchfield Area Recreation Center (LARC) will include a four-station multi-purpose fieldhouse, an elevated walking track, community rooms, family changing rooms, a fitness space, and additional support spaces. This new facility will meet residents’ desires in providing a space for a wide range of community activities that will serve the region well for decades to come.
ICS provided project development and pre-referendum communications services leading up to the vote and is currently providing program management and construction management services for this exciting addition to the Litchfield region.
