Hutchinson Public Schools

Project Details:

ICS provided planning, pre-referendum, owner’s representation, and technical services for Hutchinson Public Schools’ $45 million referendum successfully passed in November 2015. Improvements from this referendum included major additions and renovations to the high school, safety, security, and accessibility improvements, and technology enhancements for a more hands-on learning experience.

A fully-integrated learning experience was the primary goal from this referendum as the District focuses efforts on their hands-on “TigerPath Academies” program. This program, developed over the past four years, focuses on discovering talent, developing skills, and building careers through STREAM (Science, Technology, Renewables, Engineering, Art, Agriculture, Mathematics and Manufacturing); Business; Sci-Hi (Science, Healthcare, and related fields); and Human Services. The newly-renovated high school allows students to connect education to the real-life world. Through this program, ICS engaged an existing high school student to help out with the construction work happening on-site. Read our blog post here.
