Project Details:

In November 2019, BBE (Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa) Public Schools went out for a community vote to address learning space enhancements, infrastructure updates, and safety and security upgrades. Both questions of the bond passed successfully, and $19.945 million of improvements began, including:

  • Junior/Senior High Improvements:
    • Relocate the main office to create a secure entrance
    • Renovate and expand the existing Career and Technical Education (CTE) spaces
    • Renovate and modernize the existing science rooms
    • Reorganize and improve kitchen and serving areas
    • Create small group collaborative learning areas
    • Renovate areas for Special Education and student services
    • Remodel the existing weight/fitness room
  • Elementary School Improvements:
    • Create a secure entrance at the main office
    • Create commons/cafeteria space
    • Update varsity gymnasium
    • Expand the JKC wing spaces and renovate the existing JKC wing space
    • Create small group collaborative spaces
    • Complete ADA upgrades throughout the building
    • Create bus drop-off area
    • Rework the existing media center for group learning
    • Create additional small group collaborative learning areas
