Project Details:
In November 2019, BBE (Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa) Public Schools went out for a community vote to address learning space enhancements, infrastructure updates, and safety and security upgrades. Both questions of the bond passed successfully, and $19.945 million of improvements began, including:
- Junior/Senior High Improvements:
- Relocate the main office to create a secure entrance
- Renovate and expand the existing Career and Technical Education (CTE) spaces
- Renovate and modernize the existing science rooms
- Reorganize and improve kitchen and serving areas
- Create small group collaborative learning areas
- Renovate areas for Special Education and student services
- Remodel the existing weight/fitness room
- Elementary School Improvements:
- Create a secure entrance at the main office
- Create commons/cafeteria space
- Update varsity gymnasium
- Expand the JKC wing spaces and renovate the existing JKC wing space
- Create small group collaborative spaces
- Complete ADA upgrades throughout the building
- Create bus drop-off area
- Rework the existing media center for group learning
- Create additional small group collaborative learning areas
