Chisago Lakes Public School District

Project Details:

Chisago’s long-range planning process began in 2015. Community input was gathered across multiple informational meetings, surveys, listening sessions, and community engagement. Additional space, safety and security improvements, and a community facility drove the plan forward. Local voters approved a $64.95 million referendum in May 2017. The referendum included:

  • A new Lakeside Elementary School for grades 2-5
  • A community center addition to the existing High School and CTE/manufacturing lab improvements
  • Additions and renovations at Taylors Falls Elementary School and various renovations at the Middle School
  • District-wide safety and security upgrades
