New Prague Area Schools

Project Details:

Working with ICS, New Prague Area Schools developed a plan to complete improvement projects to address future needs and deferred maintenance throughout the District. In May 2015, the $58.48 million referendum was passed to fund additions and renovations to the Middle School and Central Education Campus buildings.

Due to a lack of space and adequate resources, 6th-8th grade students attended classes in two buildings, commuting between the New Prague Middle School and Central Education Campus. Increasing available space and classrooms at the middle school eliminated the need for students to switch buildings. Secured entrances were also implemented with a new administrative addition to create a safer atmosphere for students and staff. The middle school is now home to a new auxiliary gymnasium, fitness center, and kitchen space.

The Central Education Campus received a major overhaul including the addition of a new 28,000 square foot pool, something previously lacking within the community. The CEC now has adequate space for early childhood programs and ample resources for both students and the community to enjoy.
